Meet the Professionals

Connie McKenzie

RN, CMC

Connie McKenzie is the founder of RN Life Care Advocates and has worked in the field of aging and disability for over 25 years. She is a Registered Nurse and Nationally Certified Care Manager (CMC) and an Advanced Professional member of the Aging Life Care Association® (ALCA).

Connie is President of the national Executive Board of the Aging Life Care Association® and is active on state and national committees to advance the aging life care profession and strategic goals of ALCA.

Throughout her career, Connie has developed innovative care models and programs, including a successful biopsychosocial innovative care management model in Southeast Florida. The model provides support and advocacy to the geriatric population, dual diagnosis/psychiatric needs, and individuals with disabilities of all ages. She also developed and implemented a statewide home health care program in Alaska to serve Alaska’s indigenous people.

Connie also served as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Commission for Case Management, contributing to the Case Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK®) project. The CMBOK® provides case managers and other healthcare professionals with a comprehensive online resource based on a defined knowledge framework for the field of case management.

In addition to being a leader in her field, Connie has led teams of health care and Aging Life Care Professionals® in five counties in Southeast Florida and as Director of the Health Care at the U.S. Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela.

Connie has been married for 40 years, has three daughters and five grandchildren. She supported her husband’s 20-year military career and moved all over the U.S., from Alaska to Florida. As well, Connie lived in Venezuela and service as a Foreign Services nurse at the U.S. Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela. She enjoys water sports, golf, biking and hiking.

Debra Moler

RN, BSN, CMC

Debra has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and has been a registered nurse for over 30 years. She is a Nationally Certified Care Manager and Advanced Professional Member of the Aging Life Care Association®.

Debra’s nursing experiences and passion has been devoted to the care of seniors. For over 25 years she worked for a national senior living provider’s home health division in various roles, from Case Manager, Director of Nursing to Regional Administrator, with the focus on improving the quality of life for residents while allowing them to age in place at home.

Debra is trained as an Allied Team Training for Parkinson’s Professionals and assists individuals and families in understanding and managing the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. She has trained care managers and employees of assisted living and skilled nursing facilities to improve the care of their Parkinson’s disease clients.

Previously, Debra was a State of Florida Certified Alzheimer trainer and delivered training and education to private duty home health aides to improve the quality of care of their clients.

Debra’s professional experience as an Aging Life Care Professional® and specialized training make her uniquely qualified to deliver solutions and peace of mind to clients and their families dealing with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and the challenges of aging.

Debra enjoys music, walking, spending time with her husband George, their sons and their extended family and friends.
